Wake up to find 3rd day of fresh snow covering albeit not much so as previous 2 days I expect it to melt.

Looks like the streamer went south after a couple of hours, but enough to make it look nice out!

Yes exactly the same here started out in the right place but sank a bit south and it was only flurries after midnight. Still have our dusting but sun is out ready to evaporate it I expect

Streamer back over South Warwickshire - only it's running at minimum capacity now - and the sun is literally melting the dusting by the minute.

Another morning with snow cover - over 20 days this winter!

Looking forward to a big freeze this evening.

Up to my 24th day of snow cover. Not including days with just the odd patch.

Cold and dry on Saturday, milder and wetter by Monday. It doesn't look exciting by any means.

Guessing that's it for winter.

I do love cold and Ice days. Snow has been pathetic from the east had a dusting last night at last and It has made everything white. So hopefully that will stick around until sat.

We had one decent snow event here from the northerly. Unfortunately those setups that are good for my area for snow amounts are not cold enough for it to stick around. So you win and lose..

Much better overall than last winter so can't complain.

Hopefully next year we get those amazing charts we had at the turn of the year actually come off at the end of December start of Jan..

A real cold winter for a couple of months just once a decade would be nice.

Rather than cold spells that last a week.

Anyway must go delivering it is nice being out and about in the cold.❄️

Have a good day all.

Had 3 days of lying snow this year, which is pretty dire compared to other areas. Then again, what can you expect from Stratford? Found these map which places it among the least snowiest areas of the whole region (unsurprisingly).

Met Office Yellow Warning for Snow for West Midlands, but lets just say after recent 'early' warnings I do not hold much hope

That rings true, and most my life iv been between redditch, Alcester and evesham and now wellseborne,

I did live in the cotswolds with my x for about 7 years and my fate drastically improved, now I watch snow showers avoid wellseborne like the plague iv had nothing more than a sprinkling of snow recently and its painfull watching showers doing there very best to avoid the area.

I'm moving to brum in a few years near my bro, just wanna find a country area rather than built up? Any ideas

High uncertainty regarding the eastward progression of frontal systems. Just one to watch.

Strange here in south Northants - very bright shunshine, and it's  snowing moderately  heavily.

1) Days of lying snow, 2) Combination of days of lying snow/falling snow

Goes to show how snow starved we have been recently even compared to the recent 1970-2000 average.  I'm not sure what the exact criteria for lying snow are, surely a temporary dusting that disappears a couple of hours later doesn't count? Discounting those I have had 8 days so far, which is about average for my area. So this so called amazing winter is actually bang average, but because of the rubbish we have had to put up with, apart from a couple of exemptions, we think this has actually been a great year. This is what we should be getting every year.

I thought the average for Stoke-on-Trent was 10. Didn’t realise it was this high! Still well above that this winter with 24 days with snow cover so far, excluding days with just the odd patch.

People here tell me Stoke doesn’t get much snow 14-22 days on average according to that! Compared to about 1 day a century where I’m from in London

Even a light dusting can add its magic to the landscape.

If you are able get out there and enjoy it whilst it's here.

We had another covering overnight, 3 days with snow cover is very rare here.

However a very strong sun and clear blue skies here should mean a very rapid thaw today

Precipitation accumulation since Saturday. Obviously the north and east of the region seeing the most. Some pretty large anoints of precipitation (snow) for the North East Midlands.

Image from Chris Bell, meteorologist. Hence the ‘My location’ label pointing to Norfolk.

Some places have done pretty well! Not great here but I wasn’t expecting it to be. I was fearing I’d see nothing, so I’m pleased to have seen a few potent showers and dustings ☺️ Loving the crisp winter sunshine and cold, frosty nights too. Not a hugely memorable spell but a nice one and a bit different to the rest of the winter so far with the snow more powdery and lots of graupel.

3 days watching many showers just missing me on the radar. Take my eyes off the radar today and look what develops! Looks like a direct hit! Again it’s completely clear sky looking just to my north as this shower cloud moves in towards me. Looks like there’s a bit of inland convection going on as showers are developing out of nothing and coming towards me.
