Snowing well here in Melton. Not huge flakes at the moment, but also wind seems to have picked up.

Well whatever has fallen earlier has err, melted, just not cold enough, and the fall too brief and light.

Think it must be the daylight warming surfaces because places with temperatures below freezing are seeing snow melt even with full cloud cover. Seems amazing that the sun is strong enough to do that in early February but it’s all I can think of ?‍♂️ Needs to be a thick layer of snow to deflect away enough it the solar radiation. Difficult to get long lasting snow cover to low levels in this country. Even here at 150m snow was melting rapidly in early January with sub zero temperatures and full cloud cover.

You may get lucky later as I think it will only shift north today

It is yes, only getting light flurries here, hopefully push north by evening, as anything now will just melt here low down

It's enough to make you cry! The streamer looks to have moved slightly north, but of course it's fizzling out over Cannock Chase before it gets here!

Snow just started here again leaving a top up on the snow earlier. Deffo more showers coming and they look to beefing up.

Lovely sunny day now but melt rate is quite high given the air temp at freezing. Unlike when we get a hard frost and the snow lingers.

Yes, it does seem to be melting.  I’m in Penn so quite high up.

These streamers aren’t doing anything. If anything, it’s just contributing to the thaw.

wetting the ground aye, February sun is strong, sure it's helping convective showers

Another heavy shower here, been on and off all morning. Decent amount on the ground now and looks like more to come.

A few flakes in the air and a couple of showers moving this way. Not kept count of the number of days of falling snow this winter but it must be well into double figures.

Finally stopped snowing here in coventry around 3am in the morning woke up to drip drip thaw even though we had more snow than 2018 but it isn't as cold as then. Cant complain though 2 good snow events this winter with many snow falling days!

Sun out now expecting drip drip soon. Nice while it lasted and now 4th snow event of the Winter. Countless days of falling snow and sure more showers to come this week. Then there is the breakdown wich is a big unknown at present. ☃️☃️☃️☃️
