That's what has just come over us. Quite a heavy downfall, easing now.

Literally just cut under myself gutted! Looked like a good streamer that one

Current streamer coming through, I am just missing it, up the road in Coalville might be fairing slightly better?

Already the third best snow of this winter.

Let’s be honest in the Black Country, even though this winter hasn’t quite been there with some of the more memorable ones. We really can’t complain. We really didn’t deserve this luck today!

I think we can head into Spring with our heads held high.

Wind direction change again. Stream looks like going to hit North of Birmingham- Aldridge, Stafford etc

If it could continue to shift a bit further north, that would be great

Bit disappointed not to have caught a streamer but not too downbeat as I feared I wouldn’t see anything at all from this event. Nice to see others getting a good dollop of snow!

not ideal locations for north sea snow streamers, hope for something Sat to Mon, on an angle where winds are SSE'ly, short sea track as -2 850's will be enough

I find it funny that my worry was showers dying over the Peak District but those that have come this way have made it over, I just never even thought about streamers missing me which has been the actual issue. Typical Still seen a nice covering and got to watch some fairly heavy, powdery snow and graupel drifting about.

Yep very lucky here as the snow continues to fall. Looks more to come later as the wind direction is perfect for us at present.

You may get lucky later as I think it will only shift north today

App shows some snow later. Model must be seeing a risk even if these apps are hopeless

Iv missed the streamer line for the last 24 hours by about 3 miles and still not in it. I'm honestly cursed I hate living in low ground with a passion

It's not living in low ground that's the problem in this scenario, it's the positioning of the streamer. We were perfectly aligned at first, but it wasn't delivering much and the sun was too strong. When the right time came, it moved further north over Coventry , hence why they got proper coverings and we got dustings at best.

Showers are finished here now.

Looks like it’s the turn of someone a bit further north now. Good luck.

That was a decent little surprise this morning. Pleased with that.

Just bits and pieces remain here now after a good couple of cms on the grass this morning. Think any more falling snowing is fairly well in vain and i should be good to get out on my bike this afternoon! Good luck to those of you north of here, the elevation truly makes a huge difference with lying and falling snow.

Looking outside the tiny amount of snow the weather gods of given us is now melting with temperature at minus one with no sun. All too much....

Possibly   but...  If you look  as the showers approach Brum  they  invigorate and become larger   plus there is another stream of showers slightly more south which could  join the other band      something to watch
