That streamer has got all the way to Ireland... while 20 miles north and south of it nothing is getting more than a few miles inland from the N Sea it seems. Does seem to be moving more E-W rather than NE-SW now but its still too far south

Seems the streamer that is hitting pelsall ??❄️❄️❄️

Just looked at the radar for the last few hours and realised that we have been quite lucky, the band is around 20 miles North to South, still falling steadily as I write but does look a bit weaker today - for the moment at least.

Showers lose so much intensity as they get to Leicestershire

Just popped in from the Yorks/Lincs thread to say how on earth has the WEST Midlands done much better from an Easterly than Lincs?!

Lucky streamers I guess, but we’re not talking epic falls here, 1-2cms for most from what I can see, maybe a bit more in N Brum now from this mornings activity.

Nothing here 0 snow.  Seeing pics of ppls snow is really annoying.

I don't begrudge them one bit though.

Where has the 12hrs of heavy snow gone that the BBC app was predicting?

It has all changed to cloud now.

This is when it gets it spot on though.

I know! I was expecting 12hrs for us plus round 2 the next day. .. soo disappointed but still a chance next few days?

Nice to be in middle of streamer  its hardly blizzard like   but a nice covering    again parts of the midlands have done OK

true, although with my pernickety hat on it looks like its melting on the roadside a bit, cant see it hanging round all day especially if its not accumulating.

Seems a streamer set up straight through Birmingham and the Black Country. Can't believe it made it this far and still going. Still snowing here although it is lighter. Estimate around 3cm fell. West mids again got very lucky in some areas as its one thin streamer.

Only greater Birmingham it seems, nothing over here. Not like 1-2 Dec 2010 when a Wash streamer got here and places east of the Pennines got 20-30cm. Seems to be a real unexpected lack of snow in eastern parts from Lincs right up to Newcastle, places you'd expect to be plastered in this setup. Hope some does form over Lincoln because that's where we need it if it's going to get here on this trajectory...

Gone very heavy here last 5 mins. Seems we are right in the sweet spot for these streamer showers. Had a good old covering this morning. This current shower the heaviest yet.

This next bit has lost the yellow echos on the radar but its kept the greens, lets see how far it can get.

That's what has just come over us. Quite a heavy downfall, easing now.

Looks good for a direct hit.

There's some more beefy looking showers heading this way if they keep their intensity. Looks like it could be a decent accumulation by the end of the day if this continues. Such fine lines though.

Yeah coming near now, a small one just developed a little more towards Aldridge too so a few might be forming in land too and more behind after a brief gap hopefully

Another 1 or 2cm overnight. I measured just short of 7cm on the sheltered table in my garden last night, so getting awfully close to 10cm by the end of today here now if the streamers keep up. And still snowing moderate heavy as I look out of the window...

I can't ever remember beeing under a streamer for 24+ hours. I guess I have to thank the snow gods for once.
