Well that's all she wrote.. there are some more possible showers incoming but by the time they make it inland it's noting really. Managed to see a few flakes fall at least.

All in all poor showing for here.

Congratulations to those who were in the right spot. Nice and cold at least.

I want the flood water in my back garden to freeze solid!!

Seems the showers are losing intensity tonight. Probably due to reduce convection without the sun. Hopefully they should get stronger again tomorrow.

Hate to say it, but today just felt bleak, and bar a big frontal snowfall I think I’m ready for spring now

You don't think that as the winds fall lighter, they'll just die out before they get very far inland anyway?

Looks like it’ll be from Wednesday that winds fall too light for them to get very far in land. Should be OK tomorrow. Although I think there may be fewer showers in general.

Fingers crossed. I actually thought that the upwind alignment & intensity, is looking better for us than it has done since this morning.

Winds are much lighter tonight which is why the showers have died out I think and means the wind chill is less brutal than last night.

Don’t think that’s possible. It’s a very long way from being marginal.

Yep anything but marginal.

Clouds heading over me are going West now, looks like the change in wind direction is starting (here at least anywho).

You've been seriously unlucky today. I thought I'd been unlucky to be 20 miles too far south of that streamer and 10 miles too far North from that PPN over Bedfordshire this afternoon, but being 5 miles North of a place with a couple of inches of snow, when you have a dusting, is super annoying.

Still snowing here which has left a thin dusting and the odd area it didnt melt earlier perhaps couple cms. If these showers keep going all night potentially will be a cm or 2 more. Not great when you look at the 850s being blown in on a decent looking easterly though lol.

Been a day of teflon non stick snow, just a few light flurries failing to make even a covering, the only things that seem to deliver snow round here are either  front coming off the atlantic and hitting cold air - where the warm usualy wins out, or a chesire gap streamer - and last time i checked that wasnt to the east.

looks like a similar thing tommorow and the rest of the week - col, yes, but not much chance of any real snow- when do we hit thunderstorm season?
