It maybe the remains of the upper level cloud from the remains of that low pressure that past the SE 2/3 days ago, that's preventing the formation of any stronger more power streams, hence the drier air - just a thought.

Yeah it’s all well and good showers building to the east, but they’re still on that same track

Why are we expecting more of a N/E S/W track?

A proper let down today, posting on the work WhatsApp group this morning  to drive safe sent the snow away North Notts under the amber warning and we had a dusting I thought I would be digging my car out tonight after work it wasn’t meant to be ❄️

I don’t really take notice of Met warning any more personally I think they are a waste of time it seems the Met office issues warning nowadays for a sugar dusting of snow. And the app is even more useless.

Nice little snow shower on my way to the shops. Everything is covered in a thin layer of ‘icing sugar’ snow and ice. Another nice wintry night!

Don’t think that’s possible. It’s a very long way from being marginal.

Well that's all she wrote.. there are some more possible showers incoming but by the time they make it inland it's nothing really. Managed to see a few flakes fall at least.

All in all poor showing for here.

Congratulations to those who were in the right spot. Nice and cold at least.

I want the flood water in my back garden to freeze solid!!
