Yup amazing really 2010 we missed out and 2018 but today started poorly but its been great still snowing steadily and sticking as well! Thats 2 snowfall events this winter! No more complaining about the cov snow shield now

Yes, no more moaning from you!! Everytime you do, i'll remind you of the time you get a covering and we got nothing!! Haha.

This was always going to be the case with showers and streamers though. Some places could be under one for hours, while 20 miles down the road is bone dry.

Still coming down here!!

Where are you? You must be in that streamer to the South East of Leiceater. One of the lucky ones.

My Mum lives in LE3 (Narboroigh Rd) and she said the snow melted there and she hasn't had any since.

Not quite sure how that useless met Office app can predict heavy snow showers here at midday tomorrow.

That's mad, haha. Shows you how it can go with streamers. If you travel 20 miles South to Northampton, it's dry and no snow on the ground, apart from on the grass.

Yup showers will always be hit and miss. What will be interesting is when the atlantic tries to come in thats our best chance of significant snow!

That's why I asked how much snow lol barely a couple of inches.

Probably same for sheikhy as me. In areas that were out of the sun during the day and out of the wind there is 5 to 10cm. In areas exposed to the sun and wind there is only 1/2 or 1/4 of that.

Apparently It's got heavy snow all night into tomorrow for me.

It has has snow and heavy snow now for the past 4 hours and at no point has it snowed. We had those tiny ice balls all day. All melted and everything still green.

I keep looking at it and thinking maybe it knows something I don't and I keep looking at radar.

But no it doesn't and it is useless.

just a few miles to the north here in Thurmaston, perhaps been the most frustrating day of snow watch to see it so close but not even get a proper dusting yet. I ain't lost hope for tomorrow though mate!

I got absolutely pelted by those tiny ice balls this afternoon in Burton! The clouds seemed constipated!

Out of interest, why are so few showers forecast for tomorrow compared to today?
