This is why I don't get the jealousy (Banter), over a few showers. Yeah you may get a slight covering, but pointless as soon disappears.

Now something around 4inches plus, then we are talking.

There are several streams of showers going from the North Sea all the way to the Irish Sea.

The streamer in line with Stoke can’t get past Lincoln

The wonderful Met Office has me down for three hours of heavy snow from 7pm until 10pm. Do they know something that I can’t see on the radar? We’ve had a few flakes blowing in the wind all day but nothing of any note

My areas caught bits of Sheikys streamer over past couple of hours, finally got the thinnest of thin coverings out of it, albeit patchy & mostly affecting the grass! Pathetic really, only good thing is it should hang around a bit so if we get anything else it maybe a bit less patchy.

Certainly not as good as I’d hoped today & not even a patch on Feb 05 easterly despite much lower temperatures this time round.

We had that forecast a couple of hours back but it’s been downgraded now along with whole of tomorrow to virtually nothing !

Lovely, looks fabulous.

Must say, although we haven't got anything to show, I've enjoyed the heavy showers rattling through. Sometimes I'm just happy that it's snowing.

Try keeping your doors and windows open like we are doing at school, it's not so mild then...

I have to say I'm really underwhelmed by this whole spell so far.  Yes it's bloody freezing but that's about all. Later in the week we will be hit by severe night frosts. As for snow not for us this time I'm afriad. Maybe some next week or an classic Atlantic push battle v cold air. Might be more fun.

Wait we've just a had a quick Shower in Talke and guess what, it's gone as soon as it started with no white on the road. . Thats why I just don't see the excitement. Now a streamer that gives us lying Snow for days or a front to be able to have a Social Distanced family of Snowmen then yes. But a quick shower pointless.

Can we have a Northerly next please.

Lots of showers coming from the Wash area but they seem to all pass Hinckley to the south 3 or 4 miles. You can see them lined up. Need a subtle shift in the wind if we want direct hits, however I suppose its immaterial if they don't stick

Or a frontal breakdown, models toying with snow from the Atlantic, GFS finally after 4 attempts

Still more fun left for the eastern side of the midlands and throughout tomorrow and early wednesday!!

Yep, MO now have me down for 90% chance of heavy snow between now and 8pm. Can't see it on the radar yet for me but looks like there will be a continuous feed in land through to tomorrow. Most places should get a coating

Just got in from work nice and cold all day roads fine here no settled snow all green here.

Had rubbish tiny snow ball snow showers all day but all melted.

We are in the perfect position to miss all showers into tonight. I have no clue what the BBc app for my area is smoking because I just don't see hours of heavy snow.

Radar looks poor..

Been around 0c all day.

Currently at Rugeley waiting for my return journey to Birmingham.

Came through quite a heavy shower at Bloxwich that was settling quite well. Be interesting going back through there in a bit.

Nothing at all at Rugeley. Cannock Chase has a dusting but absolutely nothing on the ground here.

Now I'd be happy with that, as long as it stays over us for days and then freezes with a good cold spell after. We just don't want it to turn straight to rain or go warmer the day after.
