Quite a nice day. Bit of blue sky and occasional sunny spells, crisp cold air, and the occasional snow shower. Stuck in between streamers at the moment.

The streamer is still dropping bursts of snow over us, but the melting was keeping up with the falling snow, so it's not accumulated.

Now, give it a couple of hours and I think we could be in business, as lots more is lined up in the east.

Keep the faith guys, we still have at least four days left

Easy to spot the streamers now, and the dry slot in between the red lines.

Snowed all day here in cov got about 2cms lying. Strange day.

Birmingham is killing off the snow before it gets here. So frustrating.

Just got into work. This evening I’m off to Rugeley, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Four Oaks (Sutton Coldfield) and Redditich. Returning here to Birmingham between each one. Finishing after midnight.

Don’t think I’ll see anything different to what I’ve seen so far today. But will be interesting to keep an eye out. Problem is I’ll constantly be on the move!

heavy snow shower now with a clear sky behind it.  Rinse and repeat,    This is the story of today.  

After dark later could be a different story as others have mentioned.

The latest shower is having more impact and is settling much more easily. It'll be nice to have a base layer ahead of tonight if it continues. The radar has been so patchy today thats it is hard to tell what is hitting you and isn't.

Stoke always gets it,  had a decent covering from every single snow event to date.   Its been rubbish here need a break from the regional thread its soul destroying lol.

Nothing following on in after this shower so not sure it’s going to last long on the ground. Right in the gap between the streamers, but nice to get a mini blizzard from this rogue shower.

Must've had a few dozen snow showers today, moderate and even heavy at times, but it really has barely accumulated at all. Had more lieing snow at the start of the day. Nice to watch but im a bit dissapointed and confused as to how it failed to really settle beyond what we had overnight. Fingers crossed for some more tonight and tomorrow!

not been great in Leicester,  had a good covering early morning and although it snowed on and off all day most has melted.

The snow overnight has melted on side roads i didn't expect that. The odd snow shower but not much. Snow covers about 70% of areas

The deep snow after Christmas and early January was far better for building snowmen and sledging. This snow is too fine + not much of it!

yes mostly melted and the heavier stuff seems to be going to the south

Missed me completely, went a bit dark as it passed by but no whitestuff from the sky. Suns out in all it's glory and no snow to be seen anywhere now.
