People getting a bit het up about the GFS in the Model thread (what, really? :P) so nice to come in here for some perspective. Very glad to see some folks in the East Mids finally seeing snow, even if it's not huge amounts. For myself in Worcs tomorrow still looks the best bet of seeing anything, though bound to be very hit and miss. I don't actually mind cold and dry too much, though. It's cold and wet that I find miserable, and at least that shouldn't be an issue now for a while.

Very light snow falling here now...

Settling showing on cars but nowhere else (yet).

Looking more and more promising for most tonight.

Watched a promising BBC forecast tonight showing many snow streamers around the Midlands for the next 24hours. Talked of up to 25 cms in places.

MIA

Is there any link to that forecast mate?!

Just seen it on the Beeb website. Looks good for the midlands, under any streamer 15cm was said.

Not very often you hear snow getting blasted against your window!
I’m hopeful about these streamers over the next 48 hours. Good luck everyone! ❄️❄️❄️

Looking at the radar, looks like most places Birmingham north should be waking up to at least a covering if the light flurries continue to push through on that howling n.easterly wind.

Already a noticeable dusting on the street /pavements in west Brum.

expecting showers to have more oomph tomorrow ??

Looking good.

Can see why the West Mids are well outside any warning zone IF it were to stay like this.

Brutal. Gotta feel sorry for Wolves too, right in the middle of it and they get nothing!

Let’s hope that run is wrong and the models are underestimating the showers getting over the hills (Although I fear not)

Full chart.

I would take any snow depth forecasts with a pinch of salt. No model truly knows the exact location of where streamers and showers will be It's now down to radar and window watching.
