I’d say about 15 days away and it’ll look totally different in 6 hrs time.!!

An amazing pattern. It just keeps giving. 

The high ends up just about in the best area to perpetuate the easterly feed. 

What a difference it makes when we see the blocking further north.

The size of the cold pool in most of the ensembles is incredible . Jaw dropping! 

One of the ensembles also has a 1070 Scandi high !

Would prefer the Greenland high to move slightly to the west or shrink to be on Greenland to open a straight northerly, but it's certainly a trend in the right direction if not perfect.

GFS isn’t holding back tonight, goodness me.  It’s quite something seeing charts like this, deep deep cold like I haven’t seen in the models for a long time

From t6 out to t384 the GFS 18z is an absolute beauty. Terrible evening for mildies.
