Yes a rather grim drab day all round, there was a clearance of the cloud for all of about 15 minutes around 4pm but the low cloud quickly came back shrouding everything in a damp gloom. Drizzle or light rain off and on through the day, very dull as well, another early descent into dusk. Still feels very winterlike. Tuesday brought a taste of spring and there was some light still at half 6 and it made me feel the joy of spring, but yesterday and today has felt like the depths of winter.. onwards and upwards! I guess if Feb had 31 days today would still be classed as winter, and it would be apt conditions for the season!

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
