IMBY Just about scrapes into the updated warning area, but the good news is areas that could see a bit more substantial snow i.e. Saddleworth is within my scope of 'Lockdown' exercise in only going to places you can walk back from.  Longish walk...but still plausible.

Ogden, Denshaw, Saddleworth Moors all within my radius for snow fun (cough) I mean exercise 🤔😂

Just been out for daily exercise and perfect for doing so. Cold with a biting E/NE wind and an occasional flurry of snow.

I wouldn't get too hung up on the warnings, whether you are inside or out. Much uncertainty as shown by the accompanying matrix which shows relatively high impact but probability at bottom of scale. Granted, chances will be greater the further East you are but the models indicate decent potential at times for many parts of the region.

A few snow grains and flakes coming down here. Very light. But I’m hoping it’s a good sign 🙂

A few flakes of snow here. Not enough to tell if it’s settling or not. 2.2°C, DP about -2.

When you say SE its mainly Kent, Sussex into EA that are getting the heavy snow. London westwards towards places like Berkshire, Surrey and home counties north of London like Hertfordshire towards Milton Keynes etc... are pretty miffed its not a SE wide event. Kent has got a great climate though warm-hot summers and always best placed in these BFTE scenarios.

Not wildly enamoured by the 06z EURO4’s position of the streamer. It now looks like we will miss it and it will go to our south (maybe Cheshire will get it), however there are opportunities further north in the region if you run the frames. 06z GEM is similar @Day 10

    BUT

    - there are still likely to be showers

    - it might be wrong

I think this is the last time I look at a high- res model and I’ll just stick to the radar from now on (yeah right).

The ENE’ly will push the Humber streamer to our south most likely.

Just flurries here today. Main interest I think will be tomorrow. Inside the warning area here so it'll hopefully be interesting.

Pretty sure that's an upgrade on the Liverpool TAF as now showing chance of light snow all day today. I don't think it was showing this on the previous update.

Not sure where the light snow is coming from?

Been out walking along the prom in New Brighton for the past hour and there have been tiny little bits of snow floating around in the brisk icy breeze!

Let them have their fun. Had quite a bit of snow up here this year, this is the first for a lot of them in 3 years.

Once that low clears out the way things should be better for us.

The radar is showing flurries getting right across to there now. We've had flurries on and off for the past 30 mins which has now got more intense. Radar looking more and more promising.

Was really disheartened last night as the really strong echoes were just instantly dying as they hit Manchester but the showers today seem to be surviving much better and even the light ones seem to be making it over. Nothing more than a few flurries here so far but feeling more hopeful now for the next few days.
