Still sunny and pleasant here. I'm at Hopton near Potters resort where they do the indoor bowls.

View is looking North to Gorleston.

No blue skies up our neck of the woods at the moment, windy 'n wet.  Enjoyed your your holiday posts and pics.  Have a safe journey home tomorrow.

Thanks mate.

Must admit,  I am unsure of the forecast tomorrow.

@SNOW_JOKE covered the uncertainty,  a few posts ago.  ill take it as wet or very wet, it will probably be a bit of drizzle.

On-time the first band of rain has now arrived at 6pm with warning for storms beginning at 4am tomorrow morning, lasting throughout the day so we might see a storm or two in the NW but it'll predominantly be the rain that's the more noticeable feature over the next 3 days.

I know it'll change but not very often you see this for this area 9 hours of storms in work though.

Let's hope the diversion and water pumps are up to the job at Todbrooke.

Just had a very heavy shower.

Looking South, there's a big red patch on the radar but it looks like it will skirt me and be out at sea.

Edit: it might be swinging back in. Cant beat a good downpour on a caravan roof

Think rather than thunderstorms it’s rain that’ll definitely be a problem in places… but again hit and miss… where it does rain it could for hours…

Do you see a women in this radar picture? If so, she's gonna make things rather wet here.

A day of two halves. Overall better than anticipated. Bright morning with some sunny spells. Patchy rain around early afternoon but it wasn't until about 4pm it set in properly and in fits and starts.

Let's see how much rain we see over next 48 hours potentially alot but also potentially moderate amounts at best. One thing is it will be notably cool for early August..

Heavy showers now after a pause overnight into the early hours.  It will probably be one after another for the rest of the day.  The heaviest one's are currently further west in the region but they'll probably give most a good downpour at some point today.

Yes, huge showers in this part of the region although no thundery activity ... yet.

We may not get to the 132mm of rain at Eaton near Tarporley in Cheshire on 6th August 1981, see separate thread, but it will be interesting to see how these monsoon showers add up at the end of the day.

Quite the deluge now as the showers have spawned from the Wirral area and grown to dump their payload here....no rumbles or lightning but heavy rain definately a tick in that box.

Luckily they have moved out of the Trent Bridge area so cricket and Olympics providing the indoor entertainment.

Very gusty this afternoon especially with an exposed west facing garden. Bright though to compensate, the heavy rain of earlier has eased off.

Hhmm another forecast that seems to have gone bust especially here the forecast of continuous showers has not materialised apart from one heavy shower that lasted about 10 minutes at lunchtime the afternoon has been one of sunny intervals with one point temperature reaching 21.7c.

A few torrential showers from late morning onwards but on the whole, better than expected although the forecasts for overnight and through Saturday offer little other than heavy rain.

maybe tomorrow’s first trip into Manchester since before lockdown isn’t the best of ideas.

Echoing all you posters before me really, had a really heavy gusty downpour earlier but the afternoon has been quite pleasant, lots of sunny spells, the sun still quite strong.  Some beautiful cumulus congestus but with no vertical growth.  Turned into a nice evening.  Looks like I'm going to get very wet shopping for mummy in the morning.  Tuesday it appears that things will settle down a bit.
