The main bulk of heavy showers just slipping by to my west at the moment, Manchester probably getting it.  Sun just popped out luring some people to peg their washing out.  Not sure I'm that confident of it staying dry here.

We missed the heaviest rain yesterday,  Only the odd far off lightning flash and distant thunder heard southwards in the evening.

Collected 10.2mm  at 9 GMT today for previous 24 hrs.

The glorious weather in June brought only 35.1 mm in total.  Soil lovely and warm and there's good growing conditions now we've had a bit of rain.  Just hoping there's no swilling deluges to come.

Shower after heavy shower after a bright start here in S Cheshire. Central & SE of the region seem to be copping the band of heavy showers. Drier across Merseyside and Lancs northwards.

Pretty much sums it up here.

a bit of rain during the evening and overnight and plenty of distant lightening and thunder but certainly not enough rain to add to the streams which are running pretty low now.

from a selfish point of view, I hope today’s showers keep away although I don’t think any of us will escape the system coming in at the start of next week which should give the ground a good watering.

then hopefully it’s back to something drier and warmer again.

Well we might have missed the heavier stuff yesterday and again this morning but the afternoon has certainly got off to a wet start.

Had a biblical shower not so long ago. The nature of these showers could mean ringing out your clothes if you get caught in one but half a mile away bone dry.

A few rumbles of thunder heard towards the Rushup Edge direction from here, no lightning seen as the core was too rain-wrapped but NWRadar did show a brief hail core which would have been interesting to be under.

There's no dawn chorus in New York City.  Just hectic traffic noise and constant hooting 24/7.  I don't know how they endure it.

The city that never sleeps.

Probably more rain today in some places than in the whole of June!

Not got a rain gauge so not sure how much we've had today but it's surely above 20mm so far. Some beefy ones now to the south moving north. Could do with the sun making an appearance then we might get some thundery ones.

On/off rain here; nothing heavy though

Very 'close' / muggy though and I wouldn't be surprised if we have more thunder this afternoon

After sunny periods during first part of this afternoon, dark clouds have rolled in and heavy rain has just started. No thunder and lightning yet.
