Some tasty looking showers have developed over Wales into the Midlands, moving NE, some of which have electrified.

The will be no build up to the game on ORF channel and no experts pouting a load of crap. Will watch the game in the bar with a Dutch man and a few locals. Obviously , hope England win but feeling over here is Ukraine look a very determined outfit. Maybe class will be the difference. What ever the result, its only a game and live moves on. Rarther watch my old club, Macc Town FC !

I’ve been to watch County many times at Macc, such a shame what happened to you.

Heavy rain in Haydock this morning, drier at home now but will we get Thunder?

Away from home and a bit of the white stuff for southern New Zealand over the next few days. A finger of Antarctic air moving north into the country late on Tuesday. Places like Queenstown and Ophir should get a covering of snow. -6 to -7C uppers should be enough.

Macclesfield had a strike a few mins ago according to blitzortung, I have been watching the grey skies to my north, saw nothing, heard nothing, yet the strike was picked up on my radio.  Radio now picking up a strike Nantwich way.

Sky looking very dark to the SW. A few strikes showing around 5 miles or so to my S/SE.

Those cells have really developed. Better the cells develop in our region than rely on anything coming from Wales.

Looks as though the odds of it being a bust is increasing.

May have better look tomorrow.

Yes looks like the main action is over south Staffordshire heading in a NNE direction a few rumbles of thunder possible as @CreweColdhas reported

Louder roll of thunder now. Things looking a bit more promising!

Yes, there is a grey mass just coming into my view on the west.  The clouds are so congested I can't make head nor tail of any structure.  It's like that in every direction.

Pinging off around Macclesfield just now according to

See lightning strikes in real time across the planet. Free access to maps of former thunderstorms. By Blitzortung.org and contributors.

...good to know the storms are developing rather than watching them die a death on the radar.
