Thunder lightening and heavy rain reached here now and it’s almost dark.

I think Leicester have snatched the trophy to give it to City.  1-2 currently

Meanwhile, looks like the Snakepass about 8-9 miles from me is in the sweet spot for that storm.

Looking at the amount of water I’ve mopped up in the last half hour, I thought my conservatory was the sweet spot.

A few rumbles of thunder here and there today echo'ing around the hills but not a 'direct hit' from any storm, netherless at least today ended with a photogenic note (although the perfect-picture shot of a lightning bolt going through a Rainbow still eludes me.)

Liking the look of the storm to the east of Stoke but will it be an endurance athlete like Mo Farah and survive it's journey north? A lot of lightning with this one too.

Been tracking the storm's today, yes, this nice cell from earlier fell short of Macc. But continued west over the tops towards Buxton, only managed to hear a couple of distant booms from it.  Had it been night time I may have caught a few flashes.  Some parts of the region faired well for a bit of activity.

Good to see all the reports of thunder and lightning. The convective season getting off to a decent start. Just one rumble of thunder here today, according to my missus anyway. I was driving at the time so managed to miss it.

Best team over the season my obsession of watching my team in the EFL is certainly over for another year.

Not a jot or splash today, don't know why much of central lakes escaped the showers, all activity collapsed as it moved north even though radar showed precipitation, absolutely nothing here

Nice little surprise this as I thought our chances were over for today. Seen a few flashes of lightning, including a decent bolt across the sky and several rolls of thunder over past 30 mins or so. Seems to have sparked onto life right overhead according to the lightning detector.
