Just in from giving our driveway a quick blast clear after sweeping up all the detritus from the woods at the back of us the other day. Gave the land-barge a contactless wash too and the temps dropping rapidly. Started off at 5.5ºC and its now 3ºC...

Could be on for another frost ??

Definitely clear skies light winds and polar air recipe for an air frost. Very seasonal for 1 December.

South of 54° N. there will only be an air frost East of 2.2° W. Too much of a maritime layer.

The possibility of rain and snow showing on the Manchester Airport TAF between 10 pm and 2 am Thursday night. Nothing for Liverpool as might be expected.

A tiny bit of snow on the cars this morning but certainly not enough to use the Met O definition of a snow day.

at least it shows that we are back in more a seasonal air mass even though it may be a fleeting affair.

A risk of snow still showing on the Manchester Airport forecast from late evening to the early hours, but I suspect any snow will mainly be reserved for higher parts. It will be a snow to rain event at best anyway.

Beautiful start to the day as the sun comes up with thin crescent moon in the sky.

Well that’s unexpected. Woke up to a dusting of snow/hail/grauple. 3 days of lying snow by December 2nd is impressive. That’s impressive for a whole winter here, never mind the second day of winter. Oh well, that’s it till next winter now

Thought it was frost/ice on the pavements outside, but just been out and it is a thin coating of graupel, presumably from the showers that passed through around 4/5AM.

Isn't it just! I have seen way more snow during my first one and a bit winters living in this area than I did during ten years of commuting across to the area. Hopefully this is a trend that continues.
