Another drab day. Low cloud and drizzle. Outlook very typical for the time of year. One renowned for being unsettled and Atlantic driven. Annoyed yet again we have a ridge on Friday but pushed aside for the weekend!

All one asks is for weather that is 'usable'; so outdoor activities are possible. Had to wait until late afternoon/early evening to go out on the bike......

Well, wet wet wet. The reservoirs will be liking this. I noted Bottom's reservoir between Hadfield and Tintwistle was about 12 to 15 ft down.

Radar not much use today...moisture just spawning out to the west ready to dump it's collective load over western up-slopes on a stiff ("at least it's mild" Darren Bett) south westerly airstream.

Wet, very wet this morning.  Grey but no rain at the moment.  It's muggy isn't it?  This SWesterly is very mild, 17°C according to a local weather station.

I'd be more than happy for it to be 10°C and sunny instead of this.....

Worse than Sunday and Monday. Low cloud again shrouding everything. Bursts of moderate rain then lighter. Miserable! Dark and gloomy. We have enough of this weather in the depths of winter. Feels like late November with exception of temp. Mind SW ling fetch airstreams return similar temps all year round 13-20 degree highs. Hate them!

It’s been pretty grim this week and there looks to be more dire weather to come this morning. Tomorrow is looking like a breath of fresh air.

12ºC and grey over today... Dry though and we've had some new autumnal visitors; 3 of them feeding on the windfall apples

I'll tolerate this weather now (well, we have no choice) if it means the weeks/months ahead are more seasonal. If it's merely a taster........oh dear

Rumble of thunder and an intense spell of heavy rain just now - only lasted 5 minutes but it could ruin a day of anyone who had to misfortune to be out in it.  More showers lining up to the west but I doubt they will be as potent as that one just gone.

Just back from getting a PCR test, felt dreadful past few days, slept all afternoon yesterday, horrible dry cough. I'm double jabbed it better not be THAT VIRUS AGAIN!

On the weather note, lashing down.

Hope its negative. Unfortunately, the vaccine is not a barrier to contracting the virus and the various strains. My wife works in community and her colleagues are currently off with it.  For some, they've  had Covid for the second time and they've been either double or triple jabbed and had the flu vaccine too. Some have required hospital assistance.

This supercell on the radar here gave a likely Tornado around Widnes at lunchtime. Lots of footage of destruction on social media!
