A classic Autumnal feeling day - blustery showers and feeling properly cool, not got above 11C here. Tomorrow looks pretty vile but this is rain that the reservoirs need. A day or two of wet weather isn't going to fill em' up.

Off darn sarf on holiday at weekend petrol permitting so then would be good time to fill the regions reservoirs.

those in the south west hopefully can wait until the following week

Had some torrential showers with temperature hovering 8-9c then when sun came out this afternoon eventually felt warmer and the wooden panels/fences were steaming dry in the sun… looked quite strange but they have been saturated over the last few days…

Managed to get petrol on the way to work and my flu jab on the way home, both without a hitch and both without a queue.

It's pretty cool out there right now currently 4.7C and "coldest" night of the Autumn so far. But it won't last the wind will pick up later and cloud lifting the temp ahead of the potential soaking later today.

Very windy here and raining

I wonder whether we're going to miss most of the rain here in the south of the region. V blowy but no sign of any more than a few spots of rain and was actually becoming a bit brighter a short while ago.

Classic westerly, blustery showers with no cloud breaks inbetween. We've exchanged polar maritime air for tropical maritime air.. hence no cloud breaks. Preety miserable.

Done nothing but rain here saying that it’s dried up for the minute

Heavy rain here. Looks like the showers have merged so a wet afternoon in prospect.

Nasty afternoon here with spells of heavy rain. And that big red blob on the radar has our name on it.

Torrential here in the last two hours, always knew there would be payback for a drier spell and it's delivering in abundance over the past few days, and more to come by the looks of it.

This is some very heavy rain. My gauge is normally pretty accurate and was reading 12mm for the day at 3pm. Just about 4pm and it's clocked up 24.4mm. Half an inch in an hour. Looking at the radar there's more to come. Areas that flood easily could soon struggle a little.

Proper weather for ducks.

Would be nice to sit by the fire or have the heating on but alas, that's a luxury that is becoming a now and then thing due to the costs.

Quite chilly/brisk in gusty winds walking into Glossop earlier… collected a few provisions whilst my other half had a few teeth extracted at dentist… thankfully they changed time to 1240pm from 440pm as the past couple of hours we’ve had torrential rain… definitely weather for ducks more heavy rain overnight then tomorrow isn’t looking too bad as is the weekend from what was predicted a few days ago

Would have been ironic if the time had been 2.30pm.
