None of the promised showers at all today. Hit 30C on Tuesday, 29C yesterday. Really good for September. Even got a slight tan, which isn't usually possible in September for me, but I've been to untanned all summer, it took hold nicely.

Only the odd trace here since 21st Aug.   2 light showers today so far have dampened the ground.  Wall to wall cloud, calm and feeling very sultry.  Butterflies have made a run for it, so could be more rain to come.

Showers just entering the South of the region are gaining intensity.

Hardly a thundery breakdown is it (thus far).. barely a sprinkle here. Seem to have dodged the heavier stuff which has glanced western parts of the county and east of the Pennines..

It feels very humid and low cloud that looks threatening but there is no wind to speak of and instability looks minimal.. not a very pleasant day overall. Close feeling and drab. Whilst often Clement and benign I often want to shake hold of September and kick it somewhat..

Sunshine and moderate rain here. The kind with big raindrops but not particularly heavy.

In a barren void once again, as this location has been all summer. Couple of hours to see something thundery but I’m not holding my breath.

Same here, but it only lasted 5 minutes and has just left us more humid than before. Now sweltering in the home office.

We had some rain around lunchtime, turned sunny again after that and now fully cloudy. Very warm and close out. In the corridor between the lines of intense showers at the moment, but more echos are popping up on the radar with time.

Big downpour here with some rumbles of thunder and an accompanying traffic collision up the road

Skies starting to look very threatening here with things kicking off nicely to the SW of here on the radar.

They say global warming will cause more extreme weather.  Yes it will.... Extremely boring for some.

Yes, skies as black as night to the W and NW of here. I'm sure I just heard a distant roll of thunder. I think we may draw a blank unless something changes dramatically. Still time.

Low rolls of thunder heard to my NW. All the action is bypassing here to the West/North West at the moment.
