Good day, lots of sunshine, max about 21 degrees, possibly hit 22 degrees, but not sure. High level cloud has now encroached as we are forecast our first bout of proper precipitation for 2 weeks, but the front is weakening, not expecting much - good for the gardens.

Tomorrow could be quite cloudy for much of the day, early rain/drizzle which may be slow to clear.

Just arrived home after a spur of the moment afternoon by the sea, what a perfect day for it.  Lovely and sunny whilst filling your lungs with the sea air.  Warm enough for the new outdoor splash pool to be open and in use.  Just perfect.

Roles reversed it seems, with little or no rain forecast for us in the south of the region, just a bit of cloud which should clear into another warm sunny day. We shall see!

26.3C here at the moment and so far it's the hottest September day for 10 years when we reached 26.8C on one day then 26.5C on another at the back end of that month. In 2016 I recorded 25.2C and bar today that was the closest we've come since 2011.

27.4C here is the max today and therefore it's been the hottest September day on record here since I've recorded the weather beginning in 1977. Noticed Manchester airport has hit 28C.

Cracking day, 29C here in Nantwich. Certainly a humid feel to the air though which will make it uncomfortable for some.

Sat out on the decking having a usually unheard of Tuesday night beer while farmers are once again baling hay further up the hill.

I know that a lot of our friends in the south have complained about how poor this summer has been but on the whole it’s been a great one up here and if ever there was an indication of what constitutes a decent summer at 1000 ft above sea level, it’s making 2nd crop hay and silage well into September.

Also great to clearly see one of those quite rare sites in recent times, an aircraft starting to make its decent into Leeds Bradford.

2nd beer on a school night

I’m really into uncharted territory here

Still am impressive yet muggy 19.6c here which for early September is quite remarkable providing it doesn't fall much lower i would imagine 30c could be reached tomorrow before the possibility of some electrical activity into Thursday as we say goodbye to this very brief but welcoming spell i have booked a week away in mid November to furentura just be my luck you guys will have snow whilst I'm sat by the pool

Glad your mum and auntie are having a great visit, I find it hard to share cake, I'd have licked it all first so nobody would want any.  It's almost midnight and local weather station current reading is 20°C, Manchester airport metar taf is 21°C, certainly a muggy one.

Currently sunny and 12.6c, misty but not the thick fog of yesterday which gave some impressive inversions from the summit of Blencathra and many other lake district summits
