After a pretty gloomy start to the day its turned into a cracking afternoon. Rode the bike up to nearby Greenbooth reservoir. Lovely and clear to the north but grey looking south to Manchester city centre.

A very decent day. Stayed dry, and plenty of sunshine, even if temps below par for the time of year. A lovely clear sky evening, superb sunset.. what isn't to like..

Tomorrow promises more the same, but it looks like being one of the weeks that many will wish ended up the other way around, with a deterioration setting in mid-week taking us through to Sunday..

Yeah fairly nice day today, bit cool (high of 19.1) but feeling pleasant enough in the sunshine. Last night dropped to 9.8C here (by around midnight) but it clouded over during the night so the temp just stayed at around 10 degrees for the rest of the night.

Tonight is clear and very chilly night for the time of year, down to 8C already.

Its Manchester though so what do you expect!  (I know the statistics don't back it up but it has a reputation of being a very wet and gloomy place).

Maybe more cloud down there due to pollution from traffic and aircraft?

In Norwich today. Nice weather and around 72 degrees.

The tree in the foreground is a Catalpa, not something I've seen in the North West. Dippy thr Dinosaur is in the Cathedral, far away from Rochdale.

Nice to see people out and enjoying themselves again, after being stuck indoors for so long.

Beautiful morning, a few puffy clouds.  Did my last stint fishing on Oulton Broad, glad I took my fishing tackle.

Got down to 5.2C this morning. A bit of an Autumnal feel.

Well, if you squint hard enough at the ensembles, you might see something above average...

Just checked my weather sensor... 5.3C the miniumum here as well! Currently 18C and partly cloudy, so it's climbed 13C in the space of 7-8 hours. Not bad going.

22c this afternoon (after low of 6c brrr ) great day for gardening and sanding down benches and painting them… lemons patch chicken chicken with griddled potatoes and aubergine for tea… wonder if tomorrow will stay dry and sunny too considering bbc had heavy slow moving showers for here on Mondays forecast?

Despite a fair amount of sunshine. It is notably cool, current temp 16.6 degrees. After a chilly morning, dare I say a touch autumnal..

Pretty much a perfect summers day today, certainly not the oppressive of mid July but plenty warm enough and as good as it’s been since then.

shame it’s downhill after tomorrow and unless torrential rain with a threat of thunder is your thing, Friday is looking absolutely dire.

Personally I can’t wait

A lovely sunny day here after a cool start.  Normally I would be looking forward to the prospect of storms, but I'm supposed to be in the middle of a forest for an outdoor activity day most of Friday which was booked months ago. This doesn't strike me as the best place to be on Friday (no pun intended)!

Aye we got to 21c today and it's was almost picture perfect weather for being outdoors.  Thankfully the slimmest chance of a late shower hasn't materialised but the odds increase tomorrow and as mentioned Thursday to Saturday looking increasingly wet.

When I woke up this morning and left the house at around 07:00 I must say it felt pretty chilly, this was me with just a t-shirt on (it is mid-Summer after all!)

Not sure what the actual temperature was but I think my car said something like 7'C

Everything was wet (dew) and it just had a 'whiff' of Autumn

It did feel very September like, particularly since by lunchtime over at the office with the sun out it felt absolutely boiling to be fair..

Lots of outdoor activities at present, people on holiday, peak summer weekend ahead and yes the prospects look very miserable indeed!

It's not the outlook one would be particularly fond of for the rest of this month but I take heart in that there's plennnttyy of time for hot dry weather to return - this includes September..

Wondering if we’re going to catch a downpour/thunderstorm today… bbc local last night said the other side of Pennines would cop them… netweather going for heavy shower 12-3pm… Peak District forecast saying possibility of rapidly deteriorating conditions… currently hazy sunshine ☀️ and 12c

Blue skies all the way here. I'm on Scratby ⛱ in Norfolk,  probably the last decent day. Packing and cleaning tomorrow and then the Friday drive home looks like it could be quite eventful.

very heavy stuff was east and south of here… heaviest seemed to be chapel/Whaley Bridge….
