Had practically no sun for the last few hours. Bit disappointing when you look at the satellite image and 10 miles to the west it's sunny. Still very warm though.

Strange that. Still full sun here.

Must admit I'm not enjoying this heat. The sooner it breaks down the better as far as I'm concerned! Currently 23C, 71% humdity at higham-weather.com

Actually it feels rather pleasant outside, in the breeze and the weaker evening sun now. Indoors though it feels very warm and stuffy.

I've just unpacked and setup my new weather station. Put the sensor in a shaded and sheltered position in a tree. Showing 25.2C and 59% humidity outside, 24.5C and 65% inside. Not looking forward to sleeping tonight.

A warm night here despite clear skies. Currently 18.7C with 76% humidity outdoors, still 24C indoors despite having bedroom window open all day.

Yes went for a low level walk and could feel the humidity today. Quite unpleasant.

It's been a pretty humid summer in general I think. Not like the super low humdity you get on clear spring days that's for sure.

Another lovely sunset tonight.

I've found recent nights rather uncomfortable for sleeping. The house just retains all the heat and impossible to get rid of it in this kind of weather. A bit of a scorcher today with temps likely to get up to around 28C. I'll definitely be getting the BBQ out later accompanied by some ice cold lagers.

Great picture. We've had some really glorious sunsets in the past few days.

Wow, what an absolutely stunning morning.  Out at 7.30 getting mums shopping, could feel the heat then, it was hot in the car.  Local weather station already at 23° and there's not a cloud in the sky.  There's 2 shirtless chaps near my shared back passage erecting a fence,  I hope they have some protection on, they are looking quite red already.  It's very warm out there, enjoy your day whatever your plans.

You should close windows and curtains and doors upstairs from coolest part of day then temp will remain more pleasant for sleeping

25c already glorious blue skies bbq #4 today

washing should be dry quite quickly today ☀️☀️☀️

Good to see the Isle of Man in the current top 20 hot spots. Not very often you see the Island in that league ! Liverpool Speke tops the lot , yet again nationwide ( must be some sort of sub tropical micro climate in that location )

Costa del Pool, Speke 27c at 10am. Leading by a country mile. Looks like your nice summer continues back in my old NW England roots. Rain again here in The Austrian Alps and cool with current temp only 12c. Bit of a drab summer so far. Hit and miss. Enjoy the sunshine weekend. Will watch the F1 race tomorrow and hope for a British win !

It’s been an ok summer so far for NW standards especially after such a miserable cold May. Not as hot and definitely not as dry as the summers of 2013/2018 though at this point in the summer. It’s nice we’re getting a heatwave to coincide with high summer however ☀️☀️

With this weather and the Open golf taking place, this weekend is giving me 1996 vibes......

Thats good news.I think May was miserable for most throughout Europe as well. Looking at the data, I think the north of the region has done well, Ribble, South Dales and Westmoreland.

Will is right. If the temp outside is warmer than the inside then you are just letting the warmth in. Better to shut the windows, curtains and blinds. That's why they have air con in some countries, they don't leave them open for this reason as you'll just bake. Best to do it as the outside temp starts to drop.

Yes I've got most of the windows closed today as the outside temp is currently higher than the inside temp. Just hit 26C outside with 58% humdity, 25C indoors.

Not enjoying it one bit. Anything above 23C is too much for me.

Sat outside having a bbq and a few drinks in the shade, it’s bordering on uncomfortably warm.
