Any chance that Wednesday mornings modelled snow could adjust either North, South, East or West like it seemed to do throughout the winter.

I’m slap bang under that and it’s the last thing I want to see in May.

A nice day up until the last hour or so, but now cloudy and cheerless and spots of rain on the window panes.

Pretty much the opposite up here, cloudy but dry start then showers for a couple of hours but more broken cloud and a fair bit of sunshine now.

certainly not shorts and t shirt weather but feels decent enough in the sun.

Frosty this morning first thing... bright and warm in the sun but showers dampening ground for the last couple of hours...

tomorrow is looking pretty rubbish with wind and rain...

made blueberry muffins for breakfast and assembled lamb moussaka with extra garlicky garlic bread tea

I just about made it back home before the first of the rain showers started this afternoon, it was almost t-shirt weather mid-morning on the Staffordshire Plains around Tittlesworth Reservoir and the Roaches although the pleasant weather wasn't going to last long with conditions deteriorating before Monday's storm arrives.

I’d have preferred it on Tuesday rather than ruining a Bank Holiday Monday but I think I understand and appreciate your reasons.

Haha yes, I do want some nice warm sunny weather. But Bank Holidays are normally really busy at work with lots of bbqs, so at least no problem with those tomorrow

Can we not meet in the middle though with it dry but cloudy and too

damn cold for the idiots to sit on the tops with BBQ’s

As I said I understand and appreciate your reasons but looking at tomorrow’s forecast; they’ll all be sat at home in trackie bottoms, cans of cheap lager at hand, phone at their side with the food delivery app open and binge watching crap television.

I’d join them but I don’t like cheap lager

Once the vegetation has greened up on the hills yes . Could do with it being a bit warmer though, speed up the growth.

Just flew over. Seems to be a lot of military planes making fly overs lately.

Plenty of bright weather about today after early rain, sunshine at times, but temps below par for May, just about nudged 11 degrees, should be seeing 13-14 degrees by now.. probably another week of below average temps, notably so.. tomorrow max of 7 degrees.. woeful!

Seems strange waiting for the rain on a bank holiday as the dry spell has made heavy rain seem to me to be a bit of a novelty.

Rain pretty much held off during my walk but I just timed it right as it’s reached here now.

felt cold though, even without the rain and certainly disappointing for early May, never mind a Bank Holiday Monday.

Seems like ages since we had a day’s weather as bad as this one is turning into.

just hope it’s ages before the next one

There's been a lot of activity at RAF Spadeadam in recent weeks, given the nature of the base it's likely the mil are just freshening up on advances in radio/GPS hardware and counter-measures to RADAR jamming. Occasionally there's notices to Pennine Way walkers solely relying on GPS to be aware that their devices might not be 100% accurate when passing between Alston & Bellingham.

It's a long-shot but I spotted a Kuwait C-17 as I was near to Leek yesterday, its not often you get to see them flying overhead.

Lowland snow in May but thankfully it looks like a downgrade for me from what was shown yesterday.

it’ll be a bit miserable for any weekend ravers stood waiting for a post mosh pit test.
