What an odd day, a sharp frost here and yet I could see convective cloud to my south, inland at the same time around dawn.

WOW,...loved that,but...what was that at 16:45?,..a small plume of smoke going the other direction!

That was very odd, it seem to hang in the air and slowly drift

It certainly looked weird

So weird how it often snows here in April with modest uppers more often than it does in the heart of winter.

Not that odd, everyone knows it dosen't have to be as cold to snow in April, as it does Dec to Feb

Yeah put a couple of inches down now, wouldn’t be a bad attempt in mid winter but certainly a good effort foe mid April, especially given how warm the majority of recent April’s have been.

It’ll have to put some effort in to match April 81 but you never know.

Amazing that such a localised area of showers has dumped about 4 inches of snow here now.

It never seemed that heavy but it’s certainly piled up and still coming down and is probably our heaviest fall of the winter.

To be fair it’s decent now.

Just a shame we have to wait until spring to get the heaviest snow of the winter.

This was taken about 20 minutes ago, still coming down and now it’s about 5 inches deepC2B5B2EB-AA66-46D8-BC1B-E3B7FC957C50.thumb.jpeg.a6133ac7a48ff3c7c6bfc13149450def.jpeg

Still don’t think April 81 is under threat but after a winter of downgrades, this is without a doubt the most unexpected snowfall of recent times.

Beautiful video! I just opened my curtains to see surprise snow even here at lower elevation. Really wet though - only leaving a covering on grass and cars.
