Had a few flurries in the air early on but the suns starting to get the upper hand now and it's been quite nice since 12pm.... some of the hilly areas around the peaks and pens have had a dusting.  Radar shows areas of precipitation barely moving and Gtr Manchester area is in the clear for now.

A moderate snow/sleet mix just started here. 5.2°C. Enough snow in it to add it to the list of days with snow falling which stands at 14 for this winter season.

Some big flakes of snow falling but more a sleet than snow at the moment

How it's changed in the space of 20mins with big snowflakes now coming out the sky en-mass and the first signs of it starting to settle on the ground here at 210m asl.

Decent day here and we dodged the rain. But the radar looks absolutely nothing like the BBC graphics yesterday ?!

Another air frost this morning, slow to clear. Had a snow shower in last hour nothing heavy. May be a bit more about to fall from the sky. Cold day. Current temp 5.5 degrees. This time last year we were seeing day after day of high teen maxima nudging into low 20s!

It's just rain here, well drizzle, we'd need the power of evaporative cooling to get anything going here but I can't make heads of tails out of the radar - it's a messy picture.

Apart from a few flakes there has been sod all here. Snow to the north, South, East and West yet again, how many times has this happened this year?

I just don’t get it.
