Was expecting some sunshine for at least a while this morning but despite early brightness heavy rain showers turning sleety in the last hour. Cold and pretty miserable for April. The garden will have to wait for tomorrow!

Wow the cloud cover really is suppressing the temperatures. Currently 0c at mid day essentially. Haven't seen any snow about, just rain.

I hope the sun helps to boost shower development this afternoon. The Euro 4 is showing some beefy ones for later today.

Don’t know how local this is but almost heavy now in my part of Stockport but also seems a bit brighter

I woke up early this morning to see the snow beginning to fall as these showers have decided to park slap-bang over the region which was unexpected as last night's MetO App was only giving a 40% risk of light ppn for all day, so much for having a short trip over to Eyam this afternoon  after this week i'm ready for blue skies and 20c temps to come back again.

1-2cm in places... really coming down again... large snowflakes ... radar doesn’t bear any resemblance to the intensity atm... if it’d been a degree or so colder could’ve been 5-10cm in places already....
