A very short window of opportunity tonight (talking 2 3 hours) 22:00,01:00 when the conditions will be almost identical to 23rd January. I expect falling snow to be possible as far west as a line Chester, Bromborough, Aigburth, West-Derby, Kirby, Ormskirk, Preston.

Lying snow possible very temporarily East of M6 above 150 m.

Lightning possible early.

WRF suggests 18°C will be possible in the south of the region Tuesday.

A bit of wet snow I can do without but I’ll take next weeks warmth if it’s on offer.

Impressive given your location. We've had a few hail showers and current temp is 4.8 degrees, if we have anything more sustained in the early hours we may see a light cover first thing.

Seemingly easier to see snow here in spring...I'm guessing because Irish Sea modified layer is less effective at creating marginality.

Heavy wet snow falling. Not sure it will give a covering though.

Well it looks like I got the first part of my wish, no lying snow here, even on the tops.

On to part two now and sharing in some of the short lived heat fest during the coming week.

IF it's offering this then I'd take it even in April!

At the minute I'd give it a 5% chance.

Wow, CreweCold, a micro-climate here in Crewe. I put my head out at 11pm here on the borders of Crewe and Nantwich and there was definitely no sign of the white stuff, in fact the clouds had cleared and the stars were out. Tiniest bit of ice on the car windscreens at 7am but another lovely morning, albeit with a fairly stiff chilly wind.
