Most of northern and central Greece to get a lot of snow tonight through into Monday. Some as far south as Athens on Tuesday. Not a bad forecast for Larissa. I've holidayed there and looks like it will be buried by the end of tomorrow. Shame it's not here! Not sure why the Met office miss out a letter S in it's spelling of the city.

Radar showing snow overhead yet again, nothing falling from the sky, current temp 0.3 degrees. Tomorrow could bring freezing rain before it turns to general rain. A cold day in the offing it won't warm up until late afternoon/early evening.

Some very powerful gusts of wind this morning.  Some wheeley bins have been blown down the street.

Yeah it seems stronger this morning than it was yesterday.

Agreed and during the night as well. I think it may be a tad warmer than yesterday, and no sign of frost or ice, but no sign of the sun either, so still feeling raw outside.

'Fresh breeze' still with us here   It's 4ºC and bellowing out there; it's more than a breeze!

Well, the Greeks spell it with one sigma, Λάρισα.

Warner here today, my carefully curated pile of ice is melting slightly. Doesn't seem much windier than yesterday. I'm waiting for the warmth tomorrow to see if my broad beans has survived. They're quite hardy, but several days below freezing may have some for them, especially with the wind blowing them about.

another weather warning has been shunted away from the region as seems to have been the case throughout the winter but as it was only for ice, someone else is welcome to it

Back to normality here

The rain has no problems lashing against the windows yesterday this would have been a blizzard although it wouldn't as it wouldn't have affected the NW

Talking of thunderstorms a little bit of CAPE on Tuesday afternoon. Maybe some very early season diurnal heating thundery showers?

First day in a long while awoken to grey leaden skies, the Atlantic must be back.. a drab day so far, burst of rain on and off, but very still as well. Everything coated in darkness, fells shrouded in low cloud. Temp 3.7 degrees right now. Surfaces and ground still frozen, will take until tomorrow to thaw out.

Today makes me feel very fortunate for how sunny it has been recently, a major health booster.. expecting a much earlier dusk today.

Straight from sub zero temperatures to rain without a flake of snow in between.

don’t you just love our climate.

Very gusty winds and low single figure temperatures here have resulted in a very raw day so far. Managed to get out for some permitted exercise before the rain hit. I'm certainly not ready to see the end of winter yet. Given that February and March tend to be the snowiest months of the year, plenty more time yet.

Looks increasingly spring like next week... could it be a false dawn??? You never know

Temperature wise more akin to late March-early April, but nothing unusual given a SW airflow between November and May always brings mean temps significantly above the average, especially in the depths of winter.

It won't be springlike weather, often dull, cloudy, sometimes wet, mid-week looks nearer average temp wise as we pull in colder air from the west, the end of the week just looks damp with a long draw SW flow. A milder variation on today, whih has been a gloom fest.

Temps have climbed to 4.5 degrees, making for a raw cold dismal day.

Nothing particularly cold on the horizon. Looking like a lot of damp drizzly weather on the way with much milder temps. Still plenty of time for another significant cold shot late this month and into March. I'd like a warm sunny April though, it will help lift the covid gloom.

April can be a very interesting month and often a right old mixed bag of weather. Not uncommon to see some late snow but equally, there is always the chance of an early heatwave. As you say, some sunny warm weather won't go amiss in April. With any luck, things will be looking in much better shape by then in terms of Covid and you never know, a trip to the pub beer garden may not be out of the question by the end of the month. Convection potential increases significantly during April, and this is the time I start to look forward to thunderstorm potential. I find the transition from Spring to Summer of more interest weather wise than the transition from summer through to Autumn and Winter.
