I grew up on Hattersley and my gran still lives up there. All ways does much better than Denton for snow even though it's only 4 miles away.

Piece on BBC NW Tonight about the Sankey's Scenes of Winters Past which comes online tomorrow and which will be of interest to those in Cumbria in particular. Those were winters in the early part of the 20th century when the Lakes got frozen over and skated on regularly. Worth a look I imagine.

Nothing here in Sale even being in the same shower.. weird the radar..

It was a nice shower, good to see and added to a light covering. . Easing off now and it’s all slipping south I think.

Was a light shower and the heavier part of this Streamer just too far south, agonisingly close

Heavy snow now, roads and pavements have complete dusting, mission complete! I'll take anything extra now as a bonus.

I wonder if these streamers can get going. The first is skirting just to the south, there's another bunch just to the north incoming but they don't look like they have much life in them. Maybe we can get some settling snow though if they do hit. Rather than vanishing on impact like they did at lunch time.
