Saturday still showing up some promise on the 03Z UKV..

Having not had any more than 1cm of snow fall since 2014, the above really irks me.  weve had numerous fronts arrive in similar conditions at other times of the year and rain shadow effect has no effect... introduce some cold weather and snow hop and skips overthe Wirral and remerges by Crewe!

Yeah, slightly better here in Manchester, but not by much, rain no issue hitting us - snow big issue .

Ah well.. GFS now looks more promising from 06Z-

ICON /ECM don't want to take any interest at moment - not going to get hopes up too much, but still staying positive.

Light -Moderate snow showers passing through S Cheshire at the moment too light & snow too dry to settle properly but nice to look at ❄️

One poxy snow shower today that the strong sunshine soon dealt with. Just been speaking to a client some where around Glasgow who's snowed in with 18 inches of the stuff. That did not help my mood.

Heavy snow shower currently - 8th or 9th day of falling snow this Winter season so far. Quite incredible for the Cheshire plain tbh I really do hope we all get a proper dumping to see Winter out even if it melts within hours!  ❄️⛄️

Yeah getting a bit hammered through that central belt aren't they. Think I'm doomed here, not had anything other than a brief dusting from a shower or wet non sticking snow on saturated ground since 2010! Really quite shocking.

Will probably end up like Storm Emma in 2018 - was a Wales/ SW event. Cold block will be hard to budge at least initially.

GFS 06z was in agreement.

12z similar if not slightly better.
