Well that's a turn up for the books. The gap between the showers was heading straight for me and then the shower seemed to veer course at the last minute! Just had a short lived moderate snow shower. The interesting thing is that showers are now making it a long way West and reasonably intact as well. Quite a lot of activity right across Wales now for example compared to earlier.

Quite a streamer going now.

knew I could feel snow in the air!

You in NE Cheshire over towards the Peak District look to be in a sweet spot for it. Hoping it sinks south a bit to include me haha!

I know the apps are generally useless in these situations but its still difficult to explain why BBC has me down for heavy snow showers now and right through the night where as met office has me down as completely dry  Im pretty sure the met office is nearer the mark

@Dkeane3 and @raul_sbd we are going to be in a dry slot for a while longer. We need the showers to hit between Penistone and Holmfirth but they’re either going north or south at the moment. Not sure if this will change overnight.

Looking better now, just a question of how much it weakens coming over the pennines

Still above 0C with light winds and clear skies.

Our own terminology is obviously as someone said in here

"Least from the East

"Pest from the west"

"The rest are best"

Thought my 4cm prediction at the time was a conservative estimate - I'm in the 0cm camp at the moment - although I could go into the grassy garden and seek out a 0.5cm somewhere.
