A few decent snow showers but not amounting to much yet. Even though it’s -0.7°C it’s melting on the paths and roads as it’s not quite heavy enough.

-2 up here and it’s melting on cars and paths all down to the sun I think

Yup, need some more sustained heaviness!  Looks decent on the radar to the east, but have to wait and see what happens this afternoon.

Odd. Moderate sometimes heavy snow for the last 20 mins and air temp at -0.9c. Really struggling though to settle on any surfaces other than grass and the snow magnets that are the wheelie bin lids. Even the cars don't want to know. Going take something heavy to get anything substantial on the ground.

Guessing it's the low dew points coupled with a strong wind. The snow is just sublimating back into the air!

Bits and pieces of dandruff here from decaying showers, but encouraging that they are reaching this far West. The update from the team at Manchester Airport provided by @cheshire snow earlier was encouraging. Looks like the real window of opportunity may be later this afternoon/overnight. Definitely a shift in shower direction now, moving more East to West.

Doesn't feel like anything will stick before the sun goes down, hope im proven wrong, sky has now gone dark but would need a proper goof stream of showers to stick..

Liverpool also has the rain typo in the TAF. Someone needs to correct it.

Keep getting snow flurries here; it's bright sunshine though and windy too, so it's no chance of sticking
