Unlike in Saddleworth & frosty grounds patch there's no snow cover here just the wet variety unfortunately.

Yes just look hard outside a bit of slush on the car windows.  Good news is that everything should trend colder from this point onwards.

ECM.. don't think that low later inext week is going to get here.. Hate to say it but I fear a terribly frustrating period coming up for us lot.

I wouldn’t be happy if it didn’t but I have to agree I’m not confident myself.

My feeling is that if it does reach here it will blast through and turn to rain but everything is pointing at the cold remaining and I think that the strength of that block will be enough to keep the system out to the southwest and maybe  the Midlands before pulling back.

hope to god I’m wrong though but the way these things have gone over many years, it will either steamroll through or when the breakdown does finally happen it will be a meek affair.

Turning to sleet here. Quite a weird one. Met have it petering in an hour or so. Radar disagrees with that.

Possible wet snow for Manchester and East Cheshire later.

Any particular timeframe we should be looking at @Kasim Awan ? seems the MAN Airport TAF quite accurate  6-9pm?

Yep could well turn out that way it’s been a Winter of systems like this just too far South - giving namely the Midlands & Wales a dumping of snow. This time it looks like Wales/ Central Western England on the ECM if it reaches that far at all. Still think we should all see a covering of snow though this bitterly cold week to come via showers& streamers - the higher risk/ totals the further E you go.

Interestingly it’s turned back to rain/sleet with no discernible snowflakes.

Intensity probably?

Yes probably, and some local variation with topography and mixing.

Just looked at the radar and my interest is now that clump of showers crossing the Yorkshire coast north of the Humber.

will they make it this far across and retain some sort of intensity, only time will tell but I’m pretty sure that there won’t be the crappy marginality that we’re having at the moment.
