Morning all.

Just done my daily check of the models and I think the flow looks stronger and more unstable compared to yesterday. Also lasting longer.

Yes mate agree, I would currently say snow chances from late Saturday night right through until next weekend which by then could be some slow moving frontal activity bumping into frigid air. Best looking setup for a long time this.

Looking at this mornings ECM run and next Saturday is the perfect set up for us, obviously it will change upteen times between now and then but as a synoptic it's about perfect for us with front moving up from the south, shame south a bit soggy mind

It would be once again the NW is picking up a quick sandwich while areas further south are enjoying a full blown banquet.

also that chart is for next weekend so I would imagine only getting a couple of cm of snow over 10 days of what could be a historical event won’t go down well in this region.

obviously the alignment of the shower streams may change so the next chart may look very different but as it stands, the north including Yorkshire look to be largely missing out.

all fingered are

I really don't mind mate, we are still starving down here, not eaten since 2018

Yes, starting to feel like us in the North West will be picking up the scraps.
hopefully a couple of surprises will crop up. Trough or disturbance.

don’t think I’ll be able to bear seeing the rest of the country with 20cm plus and us with a dusting lol

Simon played things down on BBC Radio Manchester earlier saying that it would turn significantly colder and there would be snow in the forecast. He did mention Sunday night into Monday morning but with no detail, that got a response from presenter, Beccy Want, who was then worried about here 4.30am commute to Media City.

A fairly uninspiring Peak District Mountain forecast.

The Peak District is home to a wide variety of magnificent hills, moors, outcrops and gritstone edges.

I'm sure reality will contradict the text.

Weirdly mild here, around 6ºC with a warm wind... Early March weather

We're forecast for some serious temp drops here; just hope it brings some snow too

So if there’s snow on the line then maybe Becky Want will be Becky Can’t Have on Monday morning

That said I’m back in work instead of WFH on Monday and I don’t fancy a tricky early morning drive on snow filled roads but I’ll put up with it if it means we share in the unfolding events.
