Well the radar didn’t look promising before bed last night but I’ve woken up to maybe another CM or 2 so the showers must have got going overnight.

Everything is now covered including the roads and paths and the rest of the lying snow has been topped up, it looks absolutely baltic out there! ⛄⛄

Snow is coming down again now

Defo got some more overnight in canterbury! Now all surfaces have a good covering. It is still snowing lightly too. However, roads looks like an ice rink. Hoping for this light snow to continue for the day! Looks like it will according to forecasts with the odd heavier bit possible. Hope more people get some! Met certainly confident I’ll see more, heavy snow on and off all day, taken with a pinch of salt tho!

Yep , looking very Antarctic out there.

Thick layer of snow everywhere , roads like ice and snowing lightly still. Be nice to see another day of it like yesterday..

Well it's taken a while but I too have the dandruff dusting from the very light snow.

Main story is 100% going to be I've, it's just enough snow to turn the roads real icy where they haven't been gritted.

Arome is far more active today than it was forecasting last night with definite signs of streamer activity. Doesn't look all that strong though but the winds line up well.

It’s just light snow. Doesn’t look to be moving at all. Bit like the fine rain you’d get soaked in but it’s snow today!

Light but slowly topping up my accumulation..

As long as it continues..

Looks like I benefited from snow showers through night and definitely around 4am. Probably just a smidge under 2cm.

Morning all. After a long evening last night and crashing out in the end I have woken up to a cm or so of wind blown dandruff! Not much to write home about but better than nothing I guess. Currently - 2 and very light snow here with a pretty savage windchill factor!

Wow! It didn't stop snowing completely all day yesterday and is going again this morning. Added some pics to show the difference overnight. First was yesterday afternoon around 4pm second is just now before I got back in bed! Been a very long time since I last saw this much. It was up to 10cm as of yesterday afternoon and there's definitely a food few cm more on top. The wind helped smooth it all out last night but it just keeps coming down, even if it is light.

further 1cm overnight

Nothing above on the radar now - but light snizzle - could be snow blowing around or there is some light ppn to the north east of here so feasible it is blowing in from that.

Some heavier stuff a bit further east - not convinced it will make it here.

Canterbury looks like there was a couple of cm more overnight , snowing again, sub zero temperatures. Roads and paths now deadly with a thin skim of fresh snow on top of compacted slush ice and black ice from the previous day.

Fairly steady snow at the moment around -1.6 C

Keep safe.

Good morning all, looks like we need the low to clear away as soon as to let the convection begin.

If you want deeper snow you're better off with heavy showers as opposed to a decaying front

yep it’s moderate I’d say here now. Meant to be in and off all day!! Say I’ve got 8-9cm now in areas where it laid right away yesterday!

Personally I’m happy with the light-moderate snow here! Haha

With the light I have to upgrade my original 'minor dusting' to a dusting!

We even have some mini drifts!

Snowing slightly at the moment.

Sky full of potential, and some 'back building' of the precipitation around my neck of the woods.

Woke up to see it still snowing and a winter wonderland considering how much snow was there yesterday.

That's legitimately close to what I have, though a bit more coverage!

However as low as it is, the ice from it will justify a yellow warning I'd have thought.
