What's the coverage like over your way? Town and further out like East Hill toward Fairlight?

A couple of kids are out in the street playing in the salt that the gritter dumped in the road. Its a good couple of mm deep. In fact we've had more grit than snow grains.

I wish they had a sad emoji, seems wrong to "love" your post.  Lets hope all of us end up with more snow than grit!

But where is that? Your zoomed in far too much.  There's nothing in the north sea accept to the north of the wash

Fingers crossed for us. Maybe nightfall and 1 degree lower will mean we actually get some meaningful accumulations.

It's finally beginning to settle!!! Obviously temps have dropped enough. Now if we can just maintain snowfall through the night and tomorrow...

Ugh is there any streamers likely to stretch here? It’s been so disappointing

Same here mate, I’ve had no snow at all apart from very light showers.

Does anyone know if winds will start to veer ENE at any point this evening or overnight?

If I’m not misremembering what I’ve read, that’s the idea. I’m really watching for a Thames streamer type system for our areas. There is so much building in the North Sea, and as temps fall I can see it settling much easier than it did this morning

The very narrow band to the west has added a very good covering so far, including a start on the roads. This is a good sign.
