Sharp burst of hail here in Horley for about 10 mins. Bit odd? Indicative of growing instability perhaps?

Seems to be LOTS of snow left in the North Sea! Hoping for the roads to go proper white later when it’s dark! Possible?

Fingers crossed for us. Maybe nightfall and 1 degree lower will mean we actually get some meaningful accumulations.

It's finally beginning to settle!!! Obviously temps have dropped enough. Now if we can just maintain snowfall through the night and tomorrow...

If I’m not misremembering what I’ve read, that’s the idea. I’m really watching for a Thames streamer type system for our areas. There is so much building in the North Sea, and as temps fall I can see it settling much easier than it did this morning

It’s picking up little more here now and starting to settle more.

The very narrow band to the west has added a very good covering so far, including a start on the roads. This is a good sign.
