Settling more readily now on most surfaces as the temperature has finally dropped below freezing, just a shame it’s dropped off so late in the day!

Cars which had lost their cover earlier are now covered again. Hopefully a few more hours of this ??

Sounds similar to here well for cars and roofs and grass anyway it melted earlier but now has reformed but snows light now typically, not on pavements yet though I thought I was alone in the snowless patch interesting though my balcony has gathered some snow

I was living in Hastingleigh until 2019. Bet is a foot deep there by now!

I clearly remember driving from Hastingleigh with thick snow falling to Wye where it was falling as heavy rain and then back to the snow in Hastingleigh - amazing the difference a little elevation brings!

Awesome - love it up there. Might well take a hike up the hills tomorrow

Not done too badly so far today. A little frustrating that lost some cover when the temperatures increased for a few hours, but plenty of snow on the fields, woods etc.

Anyway promise going forward “perhaps “?!?.. some decent echos out in the North Sea now.. and that rotate locale northerly in upper most france.. and the vents guidance =iso chart.. would suggest we are now entering a more easterly component... as the hrs tick away =recharge in ppn >and more penetration inland of that sequence... needs eyeing ✊

Where are you seeing these echos in the north sea?   All I see is a decaying front with breaking up ppn.

Enough to measure now and it’s icy snow pellets rather than fluffy 50p size flakes ❄️

It’s really picked up here in the last half hour again TI. Hoping the activity shown keeps piling in!

Cracking pics there, especially the 2nd one. Full respect to anyone taking pics outside today, I'm just taking short walks round the block, those that say it's not quite cold enough are overlooking windchill! ☃️❄️☃️

Not moaning. Just saying how I saw it at the time (which was about right in the end).

All fun and games!

It's been constant snow since around 9am here, difficult to judge settled accumulation as its so windy it's blowing all over the place

Walking over Jade's crossing has some really nice dry compacted snow due to the lower temperature its fallen on, pavements and roads still a bit too warm to settle much and going a bit mushy!

A good starter, hopefully main course being delivered this evening brings it up to the 15-20cm mark

Latest MetOffice forecast is mentioning Severe frosts from tomorrow night. That's between -6.6C and -11.5C by the official definition. Certainly looks plausable over the snow fields.

No mate wash is west of Norwich.
