This currently ranks as the biggest bust ever. I got slammed last night for saying it, but I was right.

No you're not.

I’m so happy, even though it’s hardly settling! The big  flakes are so serene, and interestingly enough some blue skies are visible. I’ve been waiting since 2018 for this! Get out and enjoy it guys

Light snow now in Saltdean!

Blowing around in a gusting Northeast wind.

We still have the sun poking through at times.

Sky looks much more akin to a sunshine and snow showers day rather than anything persistent.

Few hrs into a 10 day cold spell.

And it's a bust already?

It's landing on other surfaces now, white pavements and roads, very thin though for now. Very small flakes.

?

We're 6 hours into a 24-36hr snow event, I think a little patience is required. Run the radar, the band is building and intensifying. It's later than expected sure, but it's a bit early to be calling it a bust. (Despite me doing just that when I first woke up after 3 hours sleep this morning)

I expect that when the temperatures fall within the next few hours we will see a rise in settling snow.

Doing my walk and have taken some more photos. The first one is towards the junction of the M20 off Park Farm currently.
