Almost at that perfect stage.. starting to settle on the grass, snow moderate to heavy and horizontal in the wind... my fence is collecting it

Settling and thickening up here in Pakefield in NE Suffolk. Lots of convection here though the heaviest snow is still just off the coast...it appears now to be developing a bit further inland.

Do I detect an element of towel throwing here Paul?....let’s see where we are in the next couple of hours. I bet we will have a covering before lunch

Not yet but this sleet is bloody annoying

You seem rather unlucky at the moment most place’s near you are getting heavy snow

Yes, looking at the radar I think the heavier stuff is 10/20 miles East of Tonbridge at the moment.

Thats good to know so Norfolk, Suffolk and Kent ticking it off the list.

So is it just the South and Mid Essex areas and North Kent near the Estuary who have not had a covering since March 2018 ?

Anyone else out there in this 35 month barren spell

I’m in north west Norfolk, no snow here yet.

I just want to know if those calling out the likes of @Ian Docwra as a troll or a pessimist because he dared to say this moving more SE than projected, are going to apologise this morning. Some of it was ridiculous.

What is going SE wards ? Its going WESTWARDS

....That said here is the latest snow radar on Met O site. If you speed it up you can see a steamer almost within the occluded front. Two things to note. A thick band of snow is heading into the coast of Suffolk in the next hour or so. Very light snow is moving towards London, from the North east, that can be tracked back to Norfolk. Speed up the playback and you'll see it.

Annoying how it seems Essex and Surrey are getting a fair bit and here in Medway, nothing.

Not a great Update from Weatherquest on Twitter just now

Seems only Suffolk and Kent they are thinking for anything settling and accumulating

Hmm not so sure, it’s already settling here in NE London. Light to moderate powdery snow blowing around, grass slowly turning white, roofs getting covered too. Slowly but surely.

It is not a fair bit, but it does look like an improving situation for east Surrey.
