At the moment it's a high ground event hopefully it will drop to town and coast level soon

I'm on the coast (can look out the window and see the sea down the road) and it's snowing here. It's light to moderate on and off, but it's all snow now. Far too light, and wet, to settle at the moment

I suppose not really weather related but I just wanted to say thank you all so much.  I've really really enjoyed following the posts today.  I am awaiting Open Heart Surgery sometime this year and you

Oh my f**king god. How many times does it need saying? 1. The amber doesn't expire until tomorrow midday 2. Widespread heavy showers & streamers are going to follow later, tonight,

Evening. Here's my estimated #snow depths for England and Wales that I expect until noon on Monday, using a blend of high resolution models.

Hi Folks. Just popping in from the NW thread  to wish everyone luck.

I appreciate the Amber warning has started and it’s not snowing but you all realise it’s active until 9am Tomorrow!

    Good Luck!

Top of the morning to you all, still only Sleet here in East Dene, far too wet for any of it too settle and temps remain above freezing. Hopefully it will turn drier later this week as the cold air pushes in, we have had far too much rain this winter, so looking forward to that warm spring sunshine. Another stay at home day in front of a roaring log fire. Take care everyone and jolly good health to yo all.

Having spent much of the night dreaming that it was raining and being completely gutted I was not surprised to see a lack of snow when I peaked through the curtains. I checked the radar and it must not have updated so I feared the worst so headed straight on here to get the lowdown!

Light snow here and radar is looking better now it's updated so time for a nice cuppa and watch it all unfold. I don't need this stress first thing in the morning!

Yet another absolute flop for those further west to add to the rest of the flops this winter.

Yup same here. Its been the floppiest winter since Sir Bruce Flop the inventor of the flip flop spent a decade in the lesser known town of flop, flipping his flip flops at secret society meetings of the "Flipping floppers club"

It’s amazing that weather can be the most tranquil and rewarding hobby, yet it can also shave a decade off of your life span from poor sleep and chronic stress 😂

Moderate snow here in Clacton now but not sticking yet. The greens and yellows are painfully close to the shoreline now but the pivot seems to be slowing. Hoping for another push NW over the next hour or two.

Sleet to snow around 2 am ish here. Been waking up through the night and seeing moderate snow falling the whole time.

Just looked out the window at the ground expecting to see a good few cm and barely anything has settled. Dew point has just reached 0.0C now so hopefully it will now start settling.

Snowing in Chelmsford but it'll have a bugger of a job settling.

    Very windy.

Think a cm or two might be more realistic for here now, as a region in general we seem to have been a bit unfortunate with the way the dice fell.

Never mind, still be fun radar watching today and hope the favoured spots get some streamer action later into the cold spell 👍
