Not quite  true - the clearing occlusion heading west we’re supposed to become of a wintry nature across s midlands and far nw Home Counties

the ukv run posted within the last hour showed this clearly

Away from tonight/tomorrow

Monday's shower risk

image.thumb.png.69423d37f9bbf4554966bf8821db8f20.png

Winds generally ENE in direction, for the northern half the region there does appear to be a train of showery activity running from Denmark towards the UK, probably North Cambridgeshire/Northamptonshire most at risk as well as areas further north into the Midlands.

Elsewhere, there will still be showers and streamers in localised areas such as around the Thames.

Tuesday looks drier for most areas.

MetOffice infrared shows the frontal plume expanding northwards but the whole system moving eastwards - away from us.  Only rain at the 2100 update everywhere except high Yorkshire/Lancashire.

Is this Storm Darcy the Iberian low or an Atlantic system that has stalled over Holland and now going into reverse?

Kinda lost track of the details in the Mad thread

Just couldn’t put it in the onion bag, champ here we come

Yes it’s looking that way. Everton and Burnley away next - we never get results at either of those places - if we win both these game’s I might believe we have a chance.

back to the weather - now starting to lay in Dunstable.

It's the system extending westwards from the Netherlands and arriving here in the next 6-8 hours which represents the area of interest.

That's what people should be looking towards.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
