Isn’t that the 0600 chart?

I wouldn't overly worry about what the models show now, we are basically in a nowcast situation and we've seen the models bust at this range, last Sunday was a classic example when it came to a poor forecast in terms of precip coverage.

However, that also doesn't mean its wrong. Its just going to be a case of keeping a watching eye on the situation!

Sleet/Snow being reported in the Netherlands now, showing up just on the edge of our radars... Also everything across the uk is being pushed west/south west as the north east/east winds increase... Going well so far!!

Temperatures are now at, or below freezing over most of the Netherlands, so I reckon it'll be 2am before the temps manage to drop enough this side of the North Sea. All running according to schedule it seems.

Here is the new run in full. That's a lot further east that previously with the heavier snow pushed to tomorrow night and Monday.

Harmonie still the best option for our region.

Eh? Looks the same as it always has, snow starting in the early hours, and lasting through the day... Perhaps too much on the sherry tonight Tom?

The Arpege is now showing something similar - not making much inroads to the SE. Not sure what to make of it tbh

Finally under a drier slot here, that rain that went through an hour or so ago was horrible.

Also can quite clearly see things beginning to change over Norfolk/Cambridgeshire now.

Unfortunately I can see this starting to fizzle out for anything but the extreme tip of Kent as the main front seems to be moving erratically SE - away from us.  Rain and sleet continue over much of the SE area, but snow confined to the higher parts of Thanet.

Can't see that myself. Everything still pointing to a decent event for many.

Keep an eye out mate it’s coming down the A428 !

That's the best forecast yet - literally just starting to turn sleety! I think we're outside of the real fun and games zone here the next few days but keeping everything crossed.

In fairness the UKMO run looks poor for much of our region.

Yes the radar looks like it’s clearing from the East typically  just as the cold is turning it to snow. Well we may catch a streamer in a couple of days here’s hoping.

I lived in Ashtead from October 1981 to 1986.  I recall the 1981/2 winter there fondly.

I wasn't here then but a kid growing up in 80s winters on Box Hill - so you can see how the obsession started, lol!!!x

I just popped this in the MOD thread, may be useful for some here.

Don't forget the live wind direction/speed map here!

EARTH.NULLSCHOOL.NET

See current wind, weather, ocean, and pollution conditions, as forecast by supercomputers, on an interactive animated map. Updated every three hours.

Even over the far SE it is now NErly wind. Just waiting for the cold to start closing in which is probably over Belgium.

Good luck all, from a snow covered Latvia ❄☃️
