Definitely a more organised band and moving westward.. this issue is atm land mass is acting as a shield.. any intensity will elbow everything west... if you get this overhead its steady continuous snow... ..

Do you see it shifting any further westwards?

Very much happening here in SW London, can see the stars very clearly and the system struggling to make inroads.

If my location can just get under the stream, I might get an hour or two of powdery snow. Probably no more than a cm or two - but would be nice because now settling on roads and paths.

It is literally about 5 miles from me and hasnt moved in the last few frames.

You must have some snow now? We've had light snow for a while and as you say it's filling in the gaps nicely and topping up the inch or two already lying. Unfortunately can't read the movement of this band, so not sure what chances we can stay under the good stuff for any length of time.

Annoying that all the energy seems to be draining North - they have plenty up there!

Yeah.. the wind gradient playin aMASSIVE part here! Shower activity has gone through the roof from east anglia and above.. as the flow alternating.. it’s knif edge stuff as the precipitation packs in on the grab and absorb... honestly can see this working out effectively... the flow is now got ample guidance for pushing precipitation we’ll inland.. but the vents just need adjustment...!!

So good chance it works out, I'll take that

Yeah there is a@chance.. we still have a firm north easterly cutting across the region -varrying from time to time... it’s the precipitation boost-intensity that need an up spike.. then it’s open order... but the balance is slowly shifting in favour of more coming into the game!!!

More bands of snow? Or more showers?

How do we see this band evolving now? Is this going to push SE? Any chance of it draining South? How about convective activity behind the band? Anything more expected to develop tonight?

It looks mental up north

@steve it’s snow shower madness Lincolnshire and up...however the feed /back band prediction for us is top notch and it’s organised banding.. and streamer like situ to boot .. it’s looking pretty decent .. as we move through the small hours!!✊

You can see that it's connected to storm darcy here, like a combination of a front and a streamer, crazy

That’s A-typical of any occlusion in the retreat.. and I’m honest in saying it’s ebbing and evolving great as it’s drag and draw in good momentum... the emphasis.. going more to the north/west- and inner parts of our region as the clock ticks down!!! Then being greedy and punching in the dark we look for land mass pepping.. as things progress!!!✊

Showers mate.. as the main lps ebbs away the notion of backloaded precipitation gains and opens the draw/feed for more inner parts of the region.. all speculative atm.. but looking decent for that fruition!!

I can see it on the radar, the yellows are gradually coming south-west

Is the radar busted? I've been under good intensity snow for over an hour and the radar has me under nothing.
