Some very light snow starting to fall here now,it's trying it's best to creep a little more in my direction. Fiercely cold here in the wind that has picked up a bit more in the last half hour! Only time will tell!

Its interesting this, more than what was predicted...and there almost seems to be a more WSW component to it that I wasn't expecting. They will of course peter out as they head west, but seem to have NE/SW aligned bands pushing WSW to SW in places.

18z meto had a convergence zone ahead of the front and the flow perhaps just slightly more wsw than ssw. London generally could do very well a bit further west than the amber zone may intimate.

Ill watch 2 more radar frames then bed it I think. But may wake up to a bit more than the "dusting" I had resigned myself to. Will know in the next 2 frames or so I reckon.

Because it's based on model data.

Apps really are the worst thing to happen to weather forecasting.

Look at it on this, I don't think it convection, it's connected to the Darcy band again, and I think we have several eastward moving lows. Watch the animation.

Definitely interesting, maybe unprecedented?

Omg this is a thick band isn’t it? Looking fairly chunky on the radar and growing...

Kinda agree. Deffo part of Darcy than convection from the North Sea. Great also to see so much moisture in the North Sea, would be surprised if there were more surprises in the coming days.

It kind of looks like it's scooping up two low pressure systems from Europe into the south eat doesn't it?

Looking at the chart John W posted I don't really see where Darcy can move too. If you take the fundimentals of meteorology and a Low moves to a high, it's all really kinda stuck atm. Hence my could be more surprises in store.

Small flakes, must be that icy stuff we had earlier that settled so well. Blowing sideways, let’s see if this can continue. Lots of good noises on Twitter and here about SE London, so that’s hope

I am really liking the look of the last few radar runs. Expanding Westwards at a pace. Hoobloomingrah!!

It seems the southern section is weakening?

I don’t think it will make it much past London tbh

Very difficult to read this band. Might be breaking up as it gets to me, might just be reorganising.... Where's it all going?

Just passed over me heading in your direction (I’m about 20 miles out) and it was quite heavy
