Yep, those last few radar returns have got my attention.  Was about to hit the sack but I'll stay up for a while yet.  Could be something and nothing, but worth watching for a bit

Anything to get excited about ?

The radar is filling in so it might be the start of something. If so anything falling will accumulate- it’s just whether it continues to build (bit of a politicians answer I’m afraid) but it’s just peaked my interest...

Snow randomly pepped up here and smacking all the windows.

I'll be off to bed and hope a cm or two accumulates.

Really light in the air here u can see the cloud line. Hopefully it peps up that little bit more. Can see it over southend

Might need to head outside and look at the clouds.

Hopefully no one is out to give me some looks...

Wow - the last half has really developed this little area

I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if much of it gets past West Malling on our side of the estuary

Well I'm calling it, the radar hasn't really pepped up at all in the last 5 hours, infact it's actually decayed. If I'm wrong I'm wrong!

And just like that.. the radar is beginning to come to life

It was always going to decay as the frontal system moved away, now winds are shifting more favourably & we're seeing convection initiating, all going to plan. If anything, a little earlier than I had expected.

Currently in south Colchester, - 2°c, hard frost, strong winds making it feel bitterly cold and causing laying snow to drift. Light snow showers.

Things are pepping up on the radar. You can see in the last 30 mins the difference ...

Call it a night or give it another 30min? What to do.....

I stayed up all last night ,finally went to bed at 5.30 am ?‍♀️. I got into bed & I was actually laughing at myself for being such a donut ,checking for snow . I've felt like All day today , what's even more hilarious is that I'll probably do the same again tonight . My mates think I've proper lost the plot .... I think they're right !!

Well I'm actually under that bit in the south east, which has apparently "pepped up" and I can assure you it's just light dandruff blowing in the wind. Blink and you'll miss it

Moderate snowfall here now, blowing about in the wind & instantly settling.

Buckle up, the ride is beginning.

Possibly in the next 2-3 hours, if it doesn't fizzle out.

Hoping it moves further inland rather than just SSW!
