Still dry here, the wind is really howling at the moment. The radar does show the showers further north getting closer so maybe I might get lucky later.

Same here Matt, keeps threatening to snw but nothing.

What you talking about ? That’s the Met Office radar.

Apologies , looks like the invent / UKV which is also on the meto site. It’s not very sensitive if it is a radar.

latest radar shows tons of precip heading in from Holland / Belgium

Thought it was fizzling out , just opened curtains and its hammering down again..

What a day...

Winter wonderland out my window..

Better than 2018.

I'd have to go back to 2013 to be on par wth the amount I've had today

This is what the chase is all about for us coldies

Today I struck gold..

Good to see Thanet doing so well. As long as my staff get in to work (qeqm) tomorrow

Amazing how everything has magically dried right up outside, the puddles in the road all gone now!! It would settle so well if only it would fall.

My uncle in Ipswich is loving it...certainly one of the sweet spot it seems

Very difficult to accurately measure the snow depth here given the amount of drifting and blowing snow, that said what was my lawn is now nearing 15cm of level snow and on my way back from the coop the snow on the pavement was KNEE deep so pushing 60cm. Never seen snow like this in Ipswich, its so powdery its blowing around like sand.

Very light snow here. Zero progress being made. Hopefully it will pick up overnight.

@Paul Sherman think we broke your 2009 record for the most hours of polythene balls type snow - such a bizzare phenomenon - but we had 10 hours non stop

NOOOOOO I feel for you really I do - Pathetic nonsense and the worst type of snow

I've just finished prepping my car for the morning and noticed that the wind has blown a lot of the snow off the ground exposing the black ice underneath.. going to be lethal in the morning.

Been snowing here all day long basically, the heavier stuff didn't get going until late afternoon but since then it's been non stop pretty much.

Expecting some pretty decent drifts by the morning that's for sure, the snow has been blowing around like baby powder!

That would be your continental super dry dewpoints working their magic

Persistant pellet snow is how I would describe whats happening now, blowing like crazy and due to how cold it actually is all surfaces covered.

Hi Lottie, my mother in law lives in Rickwood Park in Capel, its only just started snowing here in Horsham.

Hello! My parents live in Capel Court Park so probably not a million miles from your mother in law then.

It’s very pretty up there isn’t it? Has its own climate at times; often snowy or foggy when nowhere else around it is.

My dad said they were up to 3” at lunchtime and it hasn’t stopped all day so they must be approaching 6” by now.

The convection belt waking up... the delayed ramifications could have been worth the wait.. overnight looks very interesting... we’ll have a gander in the nxt half hour.. for progression/possibilities

That's nothing. Next weeks easterly will be so dry that the reservoirs will all dry up and we will have a hosepipe ban

Yep about the same here in Clacton, not had this much snow in a fair few years. In fact it pretty much ties with December 2010.
