Thought it was fizzling out , just opened curtains and its hammering down again..

What a day...

Winter wonderland out my window..

Better than 2018.

I'd have to go back to 2013 to be on par wth the amount I've had today

This is what the chase is all about for us coldies

Today I struck gold..

Just see this video on Facebook down bread and cheese hill, a lot of black ice out and about please be careful out there folks.

Every time I see one of these type of videos it always amazes me how fast people drive in such conditions.

Have you seen the video of the bus on bread and cheese Hill going sideways?

@lewis028 Posted it here a few minutes ago. Crazy isn’t it?

Best not. In the 2018 snow, I nearly got stuck on the High Road..

Quite right. That hill is a nightmare. Would steer clear of Crown and London Hill in Rayleigh as well.

Hearing of loads of accidents locally already all roads are like a sheet off ice, if we get anymore snow on top itll be nightmares tomorrow morning.

I think people should stop complaining about 'only' having a cm or an inch covering when there's places that have had nothing that would give anything to have that

Second car came over the top of hill too fast, completely unprepared for the possibility of having to stop...

Just popped my curtains open - I live pretty much a Lampost!

honestly didn't think it would still be going here tonight earlier this evening!.

Lampost watch a go for tonight! Currently mini blizzards everytime the wind whips up!

That 'Fuzziness' around the lamp? It's snow!

Slippery as anything when I took the dog out just now. She’s a (big) puppy so charging left, right and centre which doesn’t help. Wouldn’t be driving tonight unless I absolutely had to.

Same here, similar depth, and it's still snowing... It's a bust!

Still dry here, the wind is really howling at the moment. The radar does show the showers further north getting closer so maybe I might get lucky later.

The problem is compounded by the fact it's been a Sunday during lockdown. The roads just aren't getting the traffic on them to turn the salt to a saline solution. It's near on useless gritting when there's no traffic.

Certainly looks like it! My family all live in Ipswich and they’ve pretty much had snow since around 8am, and doesn’t look like it will stop any time soon! I’m in Aus, they had about 8cm when I went to sleep 8 hours ago, and it hasn’t stopped snowing the whole time!! ❄️

We've had more forecasts of snow in the past week than we've had actual snow!
