I really do feel as if Bexhill is in a sweet spot right now! Relentless moderate snowfall, accumulating easily on all surfaces apart from the road.

I must be the most noobest person here so i have a question for some of the more experienced. I see the streamer formed to my my north in great yarmouth  and another to my south what stops them converging into a more organised mass off precip ?

Convergence lines can be very localised and narrow.....if nothing changes with wind direction for a period of time then they will follow a narrow track.

Very light snow here, and some nice icicles forming on the street lights.

I was just chatting with my brother in Edmonton (Canada). It's not snowing there but they are under part of the polar vortex and last night it went down to -47c and has it's risen to a barmy -36c now. Not sure the uk could cope with those temperatures.

What are the chances that north London could catch a streamer?

You would need a ESE wind   I think.

I've refrained myself but God this is frustrating. Missed everything all day bar the odd graupal shower, finally landed a streamer but it vanished into thin air within an hour or two, leaving less than a cm. Same close but no cigar show as late Jan, early Jan and early Dec. Grrrgh! Anyway rant over and hope again for tonight/tomorrow

Keep chin up mate you never know another streamer may line up over us.

Ah so it is all down to the wind how long does the wind have to be maintained for for a streamer to form , i mean the distance between the 2 i mentioned must be no more than 50 miles can the winds really be that different in my location compared to where the streamers formed ? Thanks for replying MB

Haha, that's going to be a fun 87 point turn to get it pointing back down the hill. He was lucky to not hit anything there. Bet his backside was like a rabbit's nose though

Quite right. That hill is a nightmare. Would steer clear of Crown and London Hill in Rayleigh as well.

Sounds like the roads round here are very dangerous, both the A127 and A13 are blocked by accidents

Be careful if you’re travelling tonight!

Have you seen the video of the bus on bread and cheese Hill going sideways?
